nstp fieldwork

Yesterday, February 26, we had our first (supposedly our second) fieldwork in Don Cirilo Elementary School Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija. There was a problem with our bus, so we left UST at around 8.30 or 9.00 am. The trip took about 3 hours. But it was great because the sceneries were awesome. We arrived there at 11.00. We were tasked to lead the kids with warm up exercise and so we did. Then after that, we played badminton and volleyball while the others enjoyed playing football.

I met this charming boy named Justine and he just made my day. He said I look like Toni Gonzaga, and so, I was sooo flattered. yesss:)) But aside from the bolahan moments, I got the chance to get to know him, his backgoud and his present living status. His parents got separated when he was still in his mom's womb. And at present, his mom is living with her new husband in Novaliches, who treats him good naman daw. The two visit the province every week to spend time with Justine and his other siblings. By the way, he has  another brother and younger sistes. He's the eldest among the three, and he said that he's responsible daw. :) good thing for a 9 year old boy, right? He/'s now staying with his lola who loves so much, according to him. What I love most about this kid is his eyes which are very charming and expressive.

Yesterday was soo tiring, but definitely fulfilling. The experience with those kids is priceless!!

Thank you for reading my post! To God be the Glory!

HOW DID YOU CELEBRATE YOUR VALENTINE'S DAY? =)

Of course, last Tuesday was one of the most awaited day for most of us, most especially to those who are in love! I saw many lovers held hands as they walk along the campus, some would surprise their partners with flowers and chocolates or even prepare something very very creative! Even at our dorm, there were lots of visitors and suitors who went to spend the day with their partner, or soon-to be partner. I couldn't help but smile as I pass by those lovers whom I could hear conversing.hehehe. Well, it's not my fault. haha. But, they're so sweet. If I could just take a picture of them and post it, I definitely would!

So, you probably also  received a bouquet of red roses, or chocolates, or maybe had dinner with your boy/girlfriend or someone very close to you. But for a happy-but-single person like me, Valentine's day was kind of a normal day. I had lots of school works to accomplish, including my formal report on Biochemistry laboratory to which I spent most of my time, my pre-finals for pharmacology which is sooooooo looooooong. You see, they were my dates last Valentine's. :|

But God had made it special. He expressed His love for me through my friends who were single also. I received gifts from them, and it's so sweet! hehehe:D I was super happy=))

Dane gave the whole barkada a cute picture holder, and I got my favorite color, green!=))) I can't think of anything better than that!

colorful!!! cuteee:))

I got a never ending surprises that day! When I got back to dorm from school, Mabel had pasalubong for us! She went somewhere in Ermita with her other friends, and when she came back, she bought each one of us a heart-shaped donut from Krispy Kreme! Think of any sweeter thing from sister than what she did? :) Thanks babes!=)

I was super contented already. But Jessa, one of my sisters had a dinner date with her 3 years and 8 months relationship partner, Warren. Of course, I expected that, I mean, we all expected that!!hehehe. The unexpected thing was her (their) pasalubong for us again!! hahaha. Well, I considered that a pasalubong for us even if Warren gave it to Jessa.hehehe We were eating 2 different slices of cakes namely: blueberry cheesecake and another one (we don't know the name e)  at the middle of the night! O diba?! Til midnight ang celebration ngmin ng Valentine's! :))) hehehe

I may have no one special beside me, but spending the day with my friends, texting with my family and time with the Lord made my day even more special. It does not matter how we celebrated it, or how much we spent for it, but what matters is that we were able to spend time with our special someone and express our deep love for them. It does not have to be expensive, but memorable. Remember, it is the thought that counts, and not the amount you spent. It does not mean that only during Valentine's day that you'll express your love for your special someone, but make everyday a Valentine's day! Stay in love and happy!

Thank you for reading my post. Let us all thank the Lord for His unconditional love! He loved us first that's why we are able to love one another.Stay in love, people!! To God be all the Glory!

Meet my soul sister, B!

Mary  Bernadine Moog, my other half, is one of the blessings that I consider priceless. :) Unknown to many, we've been friends since we were in Kindergarten. hehe. So, that's over a decade already! Maintaining my friendship with her was kinda hard since we parted ways during our Elementary days. We just got back together (yuck!!parang mag  on!!!hahahaha!!!anyways...) when she entered CALC (Canossa Academy, Lipa City) for high school where I too, had mine. We were never given the chance to be classmates, but by being service mates, we were allowed to catch up and update each other.

Our high school lives were roller coaster of emotions- lots of joyful moments and sad ones also. We get to share our problems together at our service during dismissal time, or whenever we bump into each other along the corridors of the school. Well, that's how we nourish our friendship during those times. We talk and talk anytime, anywhere. Truly, she's one of my bests' and I assume to be one of hers also.

What sets her apart from my other old friends is that although we went into different university for college, we never lose track of each other. We keep in touch. We update each other by through text message, facebook, and when given the time, we try to see each other. It's as if we report the latest happenings to each other to keep us updated.

Just recently, we messaged each other and talked about her problem. Though far  from each other, I tried to comfort her with words of wisdom which I learned from my past experiences too. So, what I did was, I forwarded her a text message, (one of my favorites, by the way.) to lift her spirit up. She replied naman saying that she appreciated the forwarded message. And so, it also lifted my spirit up. And Gladly, I think, I was able to help her deal with it naman. :)

When it comes to matters of the heart, it is of course sad to see your friend suffer. Of course, being a sister, (yea, we're sisters!!!) what hurts her, hurts me also. So during times of trouble, we lift each other up. I think it's one of the most enjoyable responsibility that I face when it comes to my friends, including B. We simply support each other morally, and we feel it. :)

Our friendship has come a long way! And it overwhelms me and makes me proud that B and I were able to maintain and nourish it, despite our distance. It's just so weird that for over a decade of friendship, we never get to have a picture taken together. :( Maybe we do, but we were not able to keep it. hehehe. :)))

So, finally, to my soul sister B, I love you! You can always count on me. You know that! Whatever it is that you're going through at this point in your life, I want you to know that I'm taking my part and I'm sharing with you. I'll do this because I never wanted to see you down. I told you, you deserve to be happy and you are a treasure to keep! You now that! hehe. I would love to see my self in 10 to 15 years to be shopping with you along the glamorous streets of New York and Paris, or to be clapping my hands on your fashion show as you walk along the runway, or even to be taking care of your little kiddos!!! awww:))) I will always be one of the first person who will clap on your success and still be one those firsts who will lend you a shoulder during trials. Remember, I am always a proud sister! I love you!!! I hope to see you soon!!:)

That's it! Thank You for taking time in reading my post, I hope we all have friends to cherish, whom we could share our laughters and tears with. God Bless us all, people! To God be the Glory!
